Gaskins Delivers Value Stakeholders Appreciate

Government projects require a higher level of planning, communication, and responsiveness. Gaskins makes it easy to satisfy the demands of both the municipality and the public.

Our extensive list of successful partnerships with municipalities throughout Georgia shows we understand accountability and transparency. Just as important, we run projects on schedule, so milestones can be met and potential overages avoided.

Example
Projects

Cobb County Parks

Turf Fields

Gaskins provided design and surveying services to convert three Cobb County parks from grass to synthetic turf. The projects were aided during the construction management process via drone imagery. Documentation of the progression of the work, as well as details observable after weather events, was possible using drone photography.

Cobb County Water

Storm Water Management System Inventory

Gaskins has worked with Jacobs Engineering to perform surveying services for the water and sewer department and storm water management department. Our services included FEMA elevation certificates on properties damaged in the 2009 flood, boundary surveys for land purchases, property surveys to establish easements, corridor surveys for sewer design that include topography, tree location and property lines, topographic surveys of multiple properties for storm water management redesign, and surveying of property for subdividing and county purchase. Our services also included using GPS to collect the location of the structure. Gaskins is determining the size, material, and condition of the pipes. This data is then added to the GIS data base.

Callaway Gardens and Highway 354

Water Transmission Line

This project consisted of 5,750 linear feet of 12″ water transmission line along a major State Route at the border of Callaway Gardens. The design included three highway bores, two tie-ins to the existing water system, and coordination with Georgia DOT. The scope of work included the topographic survey of the proposed route, easement plats, construction plans and specifications, and construction observation. Gaskins also designed the development of 139 single family lots and a sales center on over 75 acres. Design occurred over three phases and included road design for over 13,000 linear feet of road, drainage system design, full utility design, and erosion control.

Flint River Sewer Outfall

Gaskins provided survey services for over 12k feet of gravity sewer, 15k feet of force main and sewage lift station construction layout, and limits of disturbance. As a final product, Gaskins provided field run as-builts in plan and profile view, easement plats and boundary surveys for properties being condemned.

Kennesaw Mountain

Gaskins provided design and surveying services to convert the main football/soccer/lacrosse field from grass to synthetic turf for 11 schools within the county.
